On Saturday. Sept. 17, 2011 join Iowa authors Leslie Langtry, Kathy Bacus, Kimberly Stuart, Carol Bodensteiner, S.C. Sherman, Mickey Zucker Reichert, Rebecca Janni, Colleen Bradford Krantz and Sharon Helgens for an all-day event where you can learn writing tips, get advice on how to choose a publisher and learn new ways to market your work! Be inspired by successful Iowa authors and make your writing dreams come true!
The conference will be held at the Montezuma Community Schools, 504 N. 4th Street, in Montezuma, Iowa and runs from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., with registration beginning at 8:30.

Price for the all-day event is only $25!
We are also sponsoring a fiction writing contest. The first place prize is $100! The second place winner will receive $50 and third place gets $25. The rules are 2500 words or less, 1 entry per person with a $5 fee per entry. Entries must be postmarked by Sept. 1 and the winner will be announced at the writers’ conference, although you don’t have to be present to enter or win. Mail entries to Our Front Porch Books.
